Slightly off thread topic,but I put winter Bridgestones on the wifes 1 Series on Tuesday.Not cheap at £850 but my god what a difference,it was only slightly worse than the RRS in the snow.

We've had that discussion with our 4x4 response group and it would seem there is no standard. Recovery organisations carry a generic kit which costs approx £200 iirc.

That was just down to a bad driver not knowing how to use the vehicle correctly.
