Germany 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black
SAT Nav Version

Hi guys
I have on my 2011 RRS the MAP version WEU:V20110501.
I bought the car in June 2012 and I was told that there is no update since September 2012 and thats why they want me to pay for the update.
Can anybody see a MAP version between 201105xx and 201206xx on your Navigation?
I guess the 2012 model should not have a MAP from 2011 and therefore I believe the dealer is telling me s h i t e Smile
You can find that information as follows:
- NAV button.
- Menu
- Navigation Setup
- MAP change
I added a picture to my gallery which will show you what you will see

I would really apprechiate if you could help me here.
Thanks
Tom

Hi
I just found the answer myself
Somebody posted a youtube video

and at 01:18 I can see that he has on the brand new Range Rover the version WEU20110501.

I think thats crazy. Buying a brand new car and getting 2011 Navigation software.

I really think Landrover should pay for these updates

Tom

I don't know what the navigation is like on a MY2011, but it's so poor on my MY05 that I haven't bothered updating it and spent money on TomTom Europe for my iPhone which much better (and cheaper than an offical map update from LR).

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Hi Tom,

On the RRS 2012 do you know how to find your Map version ?

I have been into the settings etc and also by holding centre top of screen and then valet to get into behind the scenes, so to speak but i cant find the Map version....

The reason im asking is that mine has been back to the dealer 3 times to get the update to the 2013 maps and it kept failing to load, it went back in on Wednesday and they delivered it back out to the house and told me its all updated......I dont think it has been updated as we had a new motorway built and opened 2 years ago close to where i live and its not on my maps appart from that all my setting, POI, addresses etc were still there and as far as i know they should have been cleared when the new version is installed.

So need to find out how i find out the Map version number thats loaded before i go back to the dealer for a fight.... Evil or Very Mad Dave.

Hi Morpheus-RRS
If you click on the youtube video I posted before and you can see how the guy got to the MAP change window.

The steps are basically the same on my RRS2011:

You can find that information as follows:
- click NAV button.
- tap Menu
- tap Navigation Setup
- tap MAP change
Then you should see the code.

Mine is WEU:20110501. I guess yours should be higher, e.g. like WEU:2012...

Tom
