Could it be the steering coupling is seized? It wears and gets sticky creating stiff spots on turning, butif its completely seized, it could be something that simple? Bodsys Brake Bible

You'll not believe this - the exact same happened to my 2010 on Friday - into the dealers today and they're replacing the power steering pump saying that it is the cause of the problem.

Luckily I have warranty so will get it checked out, apparently the belt snapping is common too should find out in a few days |
