Buying my first RRS

Hi Guys,
I am new to this board & am looking for advice. I am looking at purchasing my first RRS but am un-sure as to whether I am getting a good deal. I found this one on Auto-Trader & have more or less done a deal by trading in my 2010 Jaguar XF Sport. The RRS looks a cracker with the Overfinch body kit, but was wondering if this would be the price you would pay for a 6 year old RRS with 59k mile on the clock. It has full main dealer service history & has only had 2 owners.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I dive in.

Cheers in advance Thumbs Up

2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

About to get my first RRS on Monday so spending half my time on either here or Autotrader. IMHO looks abit steep, plenty of ones with less miles & in some cases 2 years younger for the same or less money, but still 3.6 TDV8. there's even on 07 from a main dealer with 38k miles for £27k...Maybe the kits adding abit, but would prefer an unmolested one to start with to put my own tweaks on it...

That's way way way overpriced for a 56 reg, shop around and pick up a standard one for 8-10k less and spend a couple of grand doing it how you like and you will save a fortune. Thumbs Up

I think the dealer is trying it on. Looking at the pictures he's already tried 28995 and failed.
If you like the car make him a cheeky offer and take it from there.

I was going to look at the very same car. I just thought it was over priced. Bought a standard HSE 7k less and and I'm enjoying facelifting it myself. Wink

That might be an option, was curious to know how much the Overfinch Body Kit, wheels, exhaust & engine upgrade would have cost when it was originally done..Any ideas?

Well I know I probably paid over the price but I bought the RRS yesterday. I traded in my Jaguar XF 3.0Turbo Diesel Sport. I drove it home yesterday almost 400 miles & absolutely loved it. The Overfinch quad exhaust has a beautiful tone when the pedal is floored, pick up is phenomenal aswell. Very Happy

Ony thing is I think the brake discs might need replacing, they all have a lip on the outer edge which I think is causing vibration through the steering wheel, anyone any ideas?

Could just be balancing of the wheels, could be brakes although not usually as wear sounds consistent.

Obviously will need discs shortly, TDV8's if you enjoy driving can be a bit hard on brakes Whistle Paul

It's probably not the lip causing brake judder -Have a look at this link which someone else posted a while back. http://www.powerbrake.co.za/tech_info/tech_01_judder.htm 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
