United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
WARNING to those in the Beds/Herts area

Do NOT attempt to drive your RRS through the newly-installed VERY narrow width restriction at the entrance to the Kimpton Road Retail Park in Luton . Yesterday I was confronted with this and despite being as careful as possible and proceeding at very low speed still scraped my front nearside alloy on the stupidly high kerb Big Cry
And I only had them refurbed about a month ago Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Am still mad about this so I'm going to try and get in touch with the site administration and see if it is possible to claim for my repair on the grounds that there is no suitable warning and that the width restriction is too narrow to be easily negotiated without damage to what is after all a fairly common vehicle. Any lawyers out there who can advise if I have a valid basis for a claim?

Ironically I found out there is a non-restricted access to the retail park from Crawley Green Road so at least was able to get off the site without going through the width restriction again - so one could ask what is the Censored point? Evil or Very Mad 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Sorry to hear about your scuffed wheel, Paddi.

I've done one of mine too much to my annoyance. But not in Luton.

Looking to get it refurbed. Would you recommend where you went?

Thanks - I'll get over it! To be fair it's only the paint that is damaged I might just go for a smart repair.
Sorry to hear you have a similar problem or maybe worse. I'd absolutely recommend the company that did my refurb they are generally acknowledged as the best in the country. You have a number of options depending on how good a result you are looking for and I tried to summarise this in a recent post: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic29382.html Give Chris at Exel wheels a call on 07885 259571 or contact via his website. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Yes, me too. Have to remember to keep wallet and phone out of sight, doors locked and look out for the scumbags trying to involve you in their staged accidents! Just unfortunate Halfrauds is the nearest place to pop in and pick up a fuse or something. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
