Brake Pads and Land Rover Warranty

Will having the the brake pads changed at a non Land Rover approved servicing garage affect my warranty with Land Rover?

You can have any work done at any vat registered garage and as long as approved parts are used warranty remains intact.
I recently found out you can also have warranty work carried out at vat registered independant garages too.

Really? LR Warranty work? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes really.
The dealer who supplied my car told me, i must admit i was a little unsure so i gave LR warranty claims a call and they confirmed it.

How it came about was my local dealer is Stratstones who i refuse to use for various reasons and my preferred dealer is 40 miles away. The latter told me about it to save me travelling to their garage.

What LR said was that once they authorise the work the garage can claim direct or i can pay the garage and LR would pay me Thumbs Up

Brake pads and brake discs won't be covered on any L/R warranty package on a 2007 sport anyway, so you won't have a problem fitting any other make of pads & discs. Unless you have just bought the car with a 12 month warranty from a main dealer, and there is a serious problem with the brakes, soon after deliver.
