I like the lines of the sport

That's what I think. The ffrr, looks a bit like a huge shed on wheels! Sport looks more modern and refined.

Saying that I still love the ffrr!

Guys,

Thanks for the help, but i've been to look at both a sport and ffrr. The sport is just too small! So I'm just looking for a vogue SE now......over the the ffrr forums for me!

Cheers,

Paul.

I'm back!!

I bought a ffrr, 4.2sc, sold it. I then bought an M5......putting it up for sale, now I'm thinking of a rrsport again, this time a 2.7tdv6. I want some half decent fuel economy!

Paul.

ha ha welcome back Paul

You see, you should have just got a RRs in the 1st place...

The 2.7 needs to be mapped, apart from that yes the mpg will be closer to the M5 (mid 20's) RRS gone

Nowhere near the M5 then! It does between 10 and 15mpg!

I've read that the 2.7tdv6 will do over 30mpg on a steady motorway run?

Paul.

Yes even more maybe (some have quoted 35) but it's a snapshot of a very particular speed/temp/wind direction.

The average will settle at 26-28 most likely... which allows for cold starts and stop starts

Thumbs Up RRS gone

Most of my miles will be motorway. If I could get 35mpg out of it, I would be over the moon!! How much
oes a remap/tuning box increase MPG and drivability?

Paul.

remaps give typically 100lbs more tourqe and 30bhp on the diesels Thumbs Up

This makes a huge difference to throttle response and really wakes up the 2.7

I've never noticed an mpg change in any of my mapped cars... unless you turn into msc and then you'll obviously burn more fuel Mr. Green RRS gone

I didn't ever see those figures in my mapped 2.7 Whistle but then again, i don't get my motors remapped for increased mpg.

It's weird, but mine returns better mpg at the legal plus 10 Whistle than the legal minus 10?

Must be a revs/load/momentum thing...

Oh and avoid cruise.... it's not a great mpg device on LR's... strange because my on Subaru it was. RRS gone

Any recommendations for tuners in the North West, that can do a reliable remap?

Paul.

I'm back again!! d'oh!!

I sold my M5, bought an audi A8.....got bored quickly, bought a Porsche 911 (996). Decided I need a big family car again so I've come back to the RR sport idea again!

Had a bloke come to look at the 911 tonight who seems interested. So who has a RRS to sell me Smile

I want to spend about 14k - 16k max. It seems like there are quite a few 2.7 HSE's about at that price.

Cheers,

Paul.
