Suspension fault

Hey guys

Sorry if this has been covered but thought I would go over my findings.

Few weeks ago my parking sensors started to play up and didn't work fully for about a week. I took the front bumper off, checked all th cables and pdc module. Put it all back together and still had the fault. After another couple of days system worked fine without any issues. Still ok today.

Last week I had another dong on the dash and this time it was suspension fault, normal height only. Checked all the sensors, good clean with wd40 and I can see them all on the 4x4 display. Checked cabling and relay next to the battery.. Still not working.

However on two different trips drove the car for about 30 'mins with the error on, pulled over and restarted light out and didn't get the message until I restarted the next morning ( drove for about another 30 mins) . Drove again this morning for about 20 mins with the error, pulled over and restarted and didn't get the fault until I got to Halfords.

So I was thinking the battery, got them to test and the battery was at 59% life. But had enought to crack ok. Ordered new battery at £229 so hope that will fix the problem.

If I still get the issue, would the compressor be the next step at changing, and is it s DIY job? Or anyone fancy giving me a hand...based in northampton Smile case of something will given Smile

Happy Christmas Smile

Scotty

Hi Scotty,

I had a similar problem and went down the batery route first - but that didnt sort it for me Sad

I hope that it did sort it for you - let us know.

For info I got the new (uprated) compressor supplied and fitted for £500 at a dealer and that fixed it. I think there is a software update required as the compressor is better apparently.

This thread gives lots of info and a how to - but it looked too involved for me Shocked

Also this thread might be your issue

There was also a thread where the dryer was replaced and compressor cleaned that resolved the issue.

Hope that helps,
