clicking noise behind the dash

I have a 2006 MY Sport with 88K miles on the clock. The vehicle has been extremely well cared for and very reliable. However, today I noticed a faint ticking sound with a 5 second interval, between ticks, coming from behind the drivers side of the dash. I am going to the dealer soon for a scheduled service and I'll have them look into this.

Before I do, has anyone out there had this experience?

Could be plastic expanding
Mine dose the same and its older with less miles
