Hello from a newbie. I ordered my new RRS HSE black edition yesterday. Model is not published or out until 2 January 2013 for delivery in march 1st (13 plate) comes in black with ebony seats and grand black lacquer and extra leather pack. Three types off wheels the same on the HSE luxury, in chrome, black and diamond turned (I opted for diamond turned). Also as standard dual view and upgraded ICE, I added side steps, premium mats, vision assist pack, with the discount of £4000 plus approx £3,000 of extras got the car for £52,000.00

I'll post pics and more details when I actually know bit more about my order !!

Anything I should know about RRS HSE ?

I ordered my "MY 13.5" "Black LE" on 21st Dec, paid my deposit on Xmas eve for a build date of 25th Jan - completes 6th Feb and delivery to me on or shortly after 1st March. My stealer has only got an allocation of 6 till March and the SE, HSE, HSE LUX and "Red" are being replaced by the "Black LE".

Was sworn to secrecy about the "Black LE" as the info is embargo'd by LR until 2nd Jan 13.

I've got mine in Baltic Blue with Ebony Leather, Style 6 (silver sparkle wheels) with dual view, extended leather and timed climate as standard, have added Bi Xenon - adaptive lights, High Beam Assist, Adaptive cruise, privacy glass, tow pack.

Got a cracking deal on Gap Insurance, Wheel & tyre insurance, mats, mudflaps and boot liner and transfer of my private plate...and what I wanted for my 10MY (facelift) TDV8 HSE (unless any one else wants it).

Tough choice whether to jump, or wait for the new model, but we decided to go with what we know (and like) rather than "jam tomorrow".

Yes I added xenon and high beam assist, thanks for telling me about the extended leather and didn't know about the timed climate not sure ill use it

Had my first test drive on Sunday last in a 11 autobiography , never drove a sport before only a 4.4 vogue. The ride was great and steering was really light

Looking forward to march and my 1st range rover, driving a Lexus rx400h at the moment 5 years old this march, enjoyed it and the whole hybrid electric thing but always wanted a RR since I first had a go in a Vogue

The Black LImited Edition sounds a nicely spec'd car.

Beadles in Sidcup, I live in Essex and is the best showroom near me. I put my Lexus as p/x and £4000 cash to bring the deposit within 30% and I put vision assist pack, privacy, carpet mats, ebony headlining on at cost and got FOC metallic santorini and premium leather. It has dual view extended leather as standard. Got £4025 discount as new.

Thats one hell of a balloon to find after 3 years or will you chop it in and use any collateral as a deposit on your next motor? Is this really your best option to finance your new motor ? Thanks for your reply, I was trying to keep the payments as low as possible and will prob renew after three years unless I am impressed with the HSE BLACK then I'll pay the balloon and run

What's your thoughts in the price being after three years considering a new model will be out ?

TBH i really have no idea, it all depends on the market at the time, as it stands at the moment the market is saturated with sports due to the lack of snow just as a guide take a look at what 3 year old sports are going for now with your estimated mileage and you shouldn't be too far out hopefully taking into account the new model coming out. What % is your finance? Might still be worth running your figures through Prestige or i could put you intouch with someone i know in the finance business.

You might have to be carefull that the discount you got isn't purely based on the way you intend to finance the purchase.
I once got a cracking deal on a Disco purely by using LR finance and splitting the finance managers bonus as my deal "hit his target".

When i was sorting my "Black LE" deal out I could have got a better discount if I went "personal lease" (LR Freedom I thingk they call it) but I prefer to pay for mine. If I went for the "Ballonn" route the overall cost of the package was extortionate, the final payment (or trade back) is mandatory and the final value isn't guaranteed.

My stealer offered me virtually (within £5 per month) the same on straight HP as I can get from my bank.

Just my 10p's worth but might be worth checking the "deal" will still stand if the sale is "outright HP".

The LR website has finally been updated wih the removal of SE, HSE AND HSE LUX replaced by the HSE BLACK

So I can see my future pride and glory in its entirety

....and mine.
