Fair point, but don't believe everything people tell you. |

You know fine well that the car will let you down exactly when you need to rely on it. For an extra £100 or so (for someone else to do it) I would have it done |

+1 Skimping on servicing on these motors will also effect resale. |

It'll only affect resale if you tell them you've missed stuff. And as no one who misses stuff tells prospective purchasers then someone pays full price and gets stiffed later on... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Or when you're in the offside lane of the M25 doing 90MPH with a van tailgating you... Thinking of that was what persuaded me to get mine done! |

£350? OEM belt kit is £40 Genuine LR is £50 Job can be done in an hour, 2hrs at a push. Typical indy rate is £40 p/h (+ VAT) £96 inc VAT using OEM, or worst case £156 using Gen.
Sounds like a really nice guy |

As previously said I was led to believe but I may have been mistaken anyway I didn't get it done but will do in the new year I'm glad of the input so I now know of approx costing but I thought his price for a cambelt was very reasonable thanks to all |

Im looking to have the timing belt changed on my 2005 RRS 2.7 HSE as its done 111k now , the previous owner said it had been replaced in the past but has no receipt or evidence so rather than take his word Ill get it done now for piece of mind , a local garage has done a few of these in the past but I want to get the genuine parts from Land Rover , does anyone know the exact parts I need to buy , I know its 3 belts but do you need to replace the tensioner or anything else
