2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
My Bonatti Grey RRS Project

Hi all, newbie to the forum, love my cars and treated myself to a RRS in october 2012. Totally standard when purchased and travelled a far distance on the promise the car was immaculate, which it was, however was crying out for some tweaks in the looks department.

So here is my progress this far.....

As i bought it, totally standard HSE model.

However after just a week or so i decided i did not like the new wheels, so came across a set of second hand 22" super seven replicas that where crack free however badly curbed, so off they went to be refurbished in bonatti grey body colour.

in addition, i also installed a set of side steps and a set of supercharged front and side grilles...

Much happier with the look it had now compared to standard.

TBC...

Was reasonably happy with the looks at this stage but knew i wanted more. So after some research it was either a 2010 autobiography conversion or HST conversion, but just couldnt justify the cost of the 1st option so started the hunt for HST parts.

Starting with the front Grill...

next job on the list was the ride height as in standard mode when driving, the car looked hideously high even for a 4x4 and was sick of putting the car into access mode everytime i got out of it as couldnt stand how high it sat with the 22's, so again after some research decided to have it electronically lowered by 25mm.

New standard ride height...

I love those wheels! They look great colour matched! Did you tint the rear lights yourself?

What are the side repeaters, Smoked or tinted?

Then i stumbled across alloy wheels no3 at a local land rover main dealer, these were quickly purchased and fitted, 22" onyx style gunmetal and silver wheels.

Wheels no3.....

At 1st i didnt quite take to these wheels but had a vision they would suit the car once the my plans for it were completed, did however like the deep dish concave look from an angle which the supersevens didnt offer.

In addition added some smoked side repeaters, removed the naff GB number plates and had a shaped rear number plate made.

Next on the list was some in car entertainment for the kids, well ok maybe me too! ha ha.

So purchased a set of genuine headrest in the same leather as my car which had been proffesionally installed with touch screen monitors.

Set about installing and wiring them in to an old PS2 i had as this was an inexspensive way to play both DVDS and games...

Sorry, they where sold via fleabay to pay for the new ones! ha.

No problem, do it, just build up the layers lightly (4 coats) then one heavy coat to finish. I used edging tape to mask around the curved lines to make them look as professional as possible. Hope this helps and have fun, p.s. a can of removal spray is also a good idea, i messed up the 1st attempt! ha.

next was the hunt fot the HST bumpers, i found several rear bumpers, mostly incomplete and largley damaged and had almost given up hope and was even considering fibreglass.....cringe!!!!, when these genuine OEM items came up, complete with fog lights, parking sensors and all covers and in perfect mint condition. They where not cheap buy any means but bought them in seconds as i knew they where rare and could always sell on in the future to recover the cost if needed, anyway here they are as i got them, black with orange detailing...

So as they arrived, off to the bodyshop they went with my own choice of 3 colours.....

In addition, also sourced a set of HST tailpipes...
