I paid £25,500 from main dealer at the time for what it was it was a very good price but they change daily lol |

I recently had a similar experience. Much newer vehicle (which I only mentioned because this really meant 'no excuses;). Loads of issues from the off - the worst of which was an intolerable whine at about 70mph but noticable most of the time. Turned out to be the transfer box - the chain was eventually replaced. Vehicle had only done 17,000 and was an ex-LR car. I rejected it under the 30day/1000 conditional exchange scheme and the dealer was great. The eventual replacement (took eight weeks to sort or thereabouts) cost more (typical) and whilst not the colour I wanted it's (so far) much better in all respects.
