Just been to a local garage today looking for a series 3 funmobile, they have mostly old Land Rovers there. I was having a mooch round on the forecourt, and the guy came out. I told him the sort of thing I was looking for, and most of the time I really don't think he was listening. He just was not interested in selling me a car, and I asked him a couple of really simple questions, like what are they like to insure on classic insurance, his simple answer 'i dunno'. I said I'd carry on browsing them, he didn't walk around with me trying to sell me one, or leave me to it, instead just stood in the door watching me, all the time his dog on a long lead following me around. How does this guy expect to sell cars? Rant over! 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

I suppose this is part of the reason why they are cheaper than your local LR stealer! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award

Now I stick to main stealers if practical (beat up on price using quote from local indi dealer). At least there are flashier cars than mine in dealer to nick and they have proper insurance. |
