yes VA.. a large Skoda.. or you can call it a phaeton with a fancier badge if you want, as Skoda don't do a large saloon.. (yet)..

Thanks Schmoogle, i hope he likes it too, i know we will miss the air ventilated seats in the Bmw which become VERY useful in mucky warm weather like we've been having this weekend, and in the coming months im sure, but it has everything else so should be ok..

Guys.. after two working days, my new found finance arrangement completed the sale in time, car was delivered by the very weird lecturing, stroppy, sarcy salesman to my house this evening, my dad was well impressed..

7 series was a better piece of kit on paper with the spec levels, but the A8.. 20" wheels look PHAT! engine is very quiet and seats are comfy, double glazing and air suspension make for a very cosseting ride, and the steering is absolutely mint. The engine feels much more powerful and drinks nothing compared to the 3.6V8 we've just had depart. The salesman took an hour and a half to go through paperwork and explain everything in smallest detail even though we weren't listening, and know most of it already!

Bit Censored , as it doesn't have rear seat heating or folding mirrors as on one of the spec sheets we had through, but apart from that loving it! needs rear windows tinted, then she's done.. will take some snaps soon.. my dad is going to massacre the 20" wheels which stick out of the p-zeros shes running on. The ride is still very comfortable and on the way to my mates house this evening i have to drive down whats gotta be the worst road surface in the UK!, and nothing, no jolts no teeth smashing bumps, just pure gliding at ridiculous speeds! even the RRS was slightly twitchy as it was quite top heavy being 2.5t but the aluminium spaceframe in this makes a big difference, makes you want to drive it all the time! cream leather is unmarked and the wood is the dark walnut trim which i was hoping for.

Nice touch is MMI is brill, really easy to navigate and the screen folds in/out when you start/stop engine. Annoyingly, no auto lights! WTF Audi.. bas*****..

hahaha!!

personally i find I Drive ok.. but my dad never did..
everytime i got in the car to drive, all the settings had been changed and the sat nav lady was blarring away etc.. think my dad used to just wack it a million times until he got what he wanted.. which was usually CD3 or something, but went through each area turning stuff on/off.. MMI seems a lot better. more buttons to go to areas you want, i.e. Radio/CD/TV etc.. nice and easy..

I might be old before my time, but I find it pointless!

I like to see lots of buttons on my dashboard for the cash I've spent!

Velcro dashboards are so 80's............. Embarassed Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
