Blimey thats tricky and will catch people out ,came to work on the GS this morning because its not frozen for once up to lancaster uni first thing in morning to pick up my son so hope its not to bad then . zx12r

I had to put the hill descent mode on to get down my driveway this morning it was sheet ice!

Ive done lots of off roading in the defender but none in the sport or an auto for that matter ,what is the best setting for say long icy hill decent at slow speed or driving in snow .

For a long icy descent, I'd have thought Grass/Snow mode (first off road setting), low range 1st or 2nd gear, HDC on (it should come on automatically with the G/S off road mode) 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks for that ,there is a really nasty hill on the way home that gets alot of traffic stop starting so lots of slidding cars wonder if the landrover driving exsperience day is worth doing to learn all the sports setting zx12r bmw gs1200 adventure defender 90 off roader |

Note: Low range 3rd is roughly equivalent to high range 1st. So you can see how slow low range 1st is. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
