Hi All, just wanted to say thanks again for all the help and especially to Ray http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic23100.html?highlight=rld for the protector which looks like a great bit of kit and Dan at Duckworths http://bds.web-rover.co.uk/adclick.php?ban...&dest= for the replacement and 2012 upgraded winch both for great service and help. Boy I wish I had joined this forum before I found myself at the side of the road yesterday morning covered in snow (North Scotland) with a flat tyre, only to find that I had also been a victim to the Space Saver alloy fairy!!! Grrrr I need to pay more attention to what’s under my car

Anyway I guess I better start looking for another alloy – by reading through previous comments, first port of call is e-mail to Dan@duckworth followed by one to Ray for Spare wheel Protector (which I may add looks 100% better than the other ones on the market).

get the RLD protector. Quite frankly anyone who doesn't is a FUdKING IDIOT.. they try to justify it with ridiculous claims

They pinch every type of spare wheel. And then they sell them to people looking on ebay for a replacement.

The RLD protector is the simplest alteration you can make to your RRS. And unlike the usual silly light and wheel "upgrades" it'll actually be of benefit  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Received my RLD Protector yesterday, 5 minute fit, sorted.

Just thought i'd add to the list of "victims". This weekend up in Norfolk somewhere and only discovered it today.

Thanks all for the info on the replacement winch from Dan, he sorted me out with a great deal. And i've just email RLD to see if their wheel protectors are still in production.
