Thanks for that Martin. Am I right in saying the some of the HSEs came out of the factory with the HST kit fitted, but these are not 'stormer' editions! Current transport : Audi S4 V8 Cabriolet, Suzuki GSXR600 K1
Previous: BMW 535D ACS, Mercedes CLK, Merecdes ML, Honda CBR600.

I don't know for sure, I thought all factory built HSTs were a certain spec (different from HSE), but I do know someone who should know.... Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

I was wrong about the Stormer Edition though: http://www.carpages.co.uk/land_rover/land-...-01-09.asp

Do a search on here for factory hst, with the new search you should find plenty to read up on Thumbs Up Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

All,

I will try to give a definitive answer..................

There was a specific HST model that was based on the 3.6 and 4.2 SC HSE which had the bodykit, Stormer/1st Edition Alloy Wheels, sunroof and privacy glass fitted. Some of these vehicles had the bodykit fitted by the dealers due to supply issues, however most were fitted at the factory. Dealers were supplied with a specific HST badge (which is the same size and format as the HSE badge), however my guess is that not all made it to the vehicles as there was a slight delay with the badges initially.

You could buy the bodykit separately from the factory (3 different kits for 2.7, 3.6 (with ACC) and 4.2 S/C), therfore many dealers (inc myself) fitted bodykits to non HST vehicles. You therefore could in theory find an S, SE, HSE, or S/C with the bodykit which is not an original HST. This is not such a bad thing, as we (my old dealership) fitted a bodykit to an HSE which had a far far higher spec to that of a standard HST thus making it a better propersition than a standard HST. That said, you could specify the usual factory options on an HST.

There is indeed a Stormer model (in fact two versions) based on 08/09my (?) and then again on 10my. The pre-10my was based on an S but had leather, sat-nav, 20" wheels and the all important HST bodykit. The post 10my was based on an SE (as the S was dropped by then) and had the bodykit (not HST as at this point it changed it's name to Exterior Design Pack) which was slightly different and less angular to the old HST kit, and is the same as fitted to current Autobiography (however the grill and vents are silver on the AB and black on the Design Pack - ask Ady555).

So, quite complicated to be fair. My understanding is that HST's were designated as such on the V5, however it would not be unreasonable to think that some may have slipped through as HSE. With this in mind, please feel free to PM me the reg or VIN and I will see what I can find on the system to confirm if it looks like an HST.

The above is all from memory, therefore please take with a pinch of salt! That said, I am happy to look the vehicle up on the system to be sure.
