I'm not the only one to miss out by just £100 on the DVLA, seems quite common practice with them.
I suppose the bigger companies have deeper pockets, but there are a number of cases of this happening, then people being offered the plate the very next day.........doesn't quite pass the smell test in my eyes Wink Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Very true about the deeper pockets... Government and these companies are making a mint from the 'car nut'

Agree with BC about holding out, on the same token it depends on how much you want the plate or how rare it is. I was after a 4 digit plate with containing my initials, were like rocking horse poo! When they did come available, always in double figuress seldomless than early 20s! When one did come up in late teens I blew my RRS funds on it! Now almost got the RRS to put it on. Current transport : Audi S4 V8 Cabriolet, Suzuki GSXR600 K1

Just rang them and they wont sell it for less than 4000

If the plate is advertised with CARREG at £3,600 how can they not sell it for less than £4k ?

If you want it that bad just buy it online if not make a lower bid and sit tight

And yes there is a definite whiff about the DVLA numbers game Exclamation
