Courtesy cars

Well my beastie went to the paint shop yesterday to get the body work brought up to scratch (excuse the pun), something we picked up on delivery.

The courtesy car was a peach, a Toyota Corolla 1.x Auto i did not know whether to Rolling with laughter or Big Cry

Only one more day until i get the rangie back Thumbs Up

Anyone else had some extraordinary courtesy vehicles, good or bad, my worst was a Subaru Justy from a certain dealer at Taplow near Maidenhead, they had the Prodrive WRX in for some warranty work, now that is another example of chalk and cheese Shocked Very Happy

UPDATE 1st June

Lets vote on it then, who do we collectively believe have had the mick taken out of them in terms of courtesy vehicles Shocked Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

A bright orange Kia picanto! Big Cry Big Cry The worst thing about this car was that at the time there was a big advertising campaign on billboards stating how cheap this car was. I always seemed to get stuck in a trafic jam next to one of these adverts which featured this car in the same orange.

Rolling with laughter

When the Mini went in for its last service I was first fobbed off with £1000 worth of dangerous Peugeot 206 and when I took that back because it veered towards the kerb they found £800 worth of utterly terrible Rover 400 Evil or Very Mad Big Cry Like this site? Yep, in street cred stakes i would say the current running order is

1. The Kia
2. the Justy
3. Martins death traps
4. The smart

I could mention the wife had a freelander sport a few years ago as a courtesy vehicle (her TD5 was in for warranty work), but that may give me an unfair advantage Wink Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I don't ever pay for servicing, so im an exception for this..
However had my fair share of warranty jobs, and have ragged a whole host of courtesy cars.. Volvo estate, Bmw 525d Estate, Bmw 320d Estate, a 120i Sport, a 320ci auto, a freelander 1.8XS or something when the RRS went in once.. loads of renault clios in the renault days, got the service managers brand spanking 530i Sport when i used to work in swindon, off dick lovett.. and i lovett'd that car! trust me.. had it overnight.. Laughing
have treated the saab like a courtesy car to be honest, but its a decent car, and is averaging 38mpg right now, despite averaging 3 figures on the motorway on saturday..
