Hello,

Does anyone has an idea on how I can remove the top tip of the cable plugged into the AUX input at the back of the central consol? The tip has broken inside the plug...  Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Using a plastic tool prise the unit up to release it . Up plug it it has some very small torch screws holding it together carefully separate the case there is an extra screw at the bottom
Now you have 2 boards which are joined but will remove now just use a small screw driver or pliers to remove in the worst case a soldering iron to unsolder the connector all sounds far harder than it is

If you don't want to do it send the unit to me and I will do it for you as long as you cover postage

I managed to remove the whole assembly and it make it easier to try to remove the broken connector inside the aux but I am stuck there...can't get it out...

Have you tried a powerful magnet possibly using something thin to connect it to the end?

Ive pulled a jack out in that way before - however, i suppose its down to how grippy the socket is Mike

In the worst case you just heat the connector with a soldering iron to this will release it and the you can push it out.
I have defiantly done it myself so it can be done just be patient with it
If you poke in the whole to much from the top you will damage the small connectors inside

loctite? try to glue it and pull

Well, thanks to your help, I've managed to remove the broken tipe of the aux cable but... broke the plug in the process.... I ended up lifting a new unit from a website...

I had the same problem and solved it by drilling the 3.5mm pin with 1mm drill out. Put the drill in the very center of pin which is plastic and soft. Drilled slow speed until drill stuck in plastic and then popped them both together out. Took me 1min to solve !
