Can you adjust the light settings on the camera to 'let in' more light and see more at night, or are you restricted to just what is illuminated Question ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The light can be adjusted in the settings, but i'm not sure if this will effect the night time vision. I guess it should.

Another good reason for these incar camera's is that you can see how the technician's treat your car when its in for service or repair Shocked mines been in today for new front brakes and just checked the footage, all's good thankfully Thumbs Up i must admit, i didn't expect anything untoward. Service manager did ask who was the lady talking in the car upon start up Laughing my reply was.... Is my wife still in the boot Laughing

Had mine mot'd the other week and made interesting viewing - especially the high speed test drive with sub woofer test - did not know that was part of the mot Confused

Had to turn down the volume during playback for the language Embarassed

Interesting to hear who the mechanic was "tapping" though Rolling with laughter Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I have not confronted them but not sure if I will use them again Confused

Having looked online they could argue the road test was part of the mot because they can not do brake test on rollers like a car but no excuse for breaking speed limits Evil or Very Mad

They are a local land rover specialist and used them in the past for swmbo's fl1 and always got on with them and after summer disaster with stealer thought I would give them the RRS Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Give them a chance to respond, take it in on a USB stick and see what they say.

They may offer something but if it were me I'd only accept a rebate as god knows what they could do next time its in Sad

Then if they fail to be agreeable post on youtube under an anon account and let them take the rap for it with the general public... FFRR Owner, SSRR engine destroyer!(*2) & Creator of SSRR Smile

They are a small Indy round the corner from where I live and it was only £40 for the mot so not sure I want the hassle to be honest especially if they get the hump and we fall out - would make it difficult to use them again if I needed someone local Sad

Main dealers are 25-40 miles away but not had much luck with them either Rolling Eyes

I did not tell them about the camera but think they realised at the end as they seemed in a hurry to get rid of me and a bit embarrassed so hopefully they learnt their lesson but if I used them again might point out the camera and make a bit of a joke about it to make them think twice Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I used a powersaver so on all the time, disabled all lights I could except GPS light but when mechanic drove off it would of said parking mode disabled and I think they then looked when they got back to see what it was but did not know what to do about it Rolling Eyes

They are normally chatty but could not get me away quick enough when I went back to collect and someone shouted it was getting Censored ridiculous on the audio which I think is when they realised what it was Laughing

The movement detection is rubbish and fills the sd card when parked and on cold mornings the BV keeps shutting down and restarting probably due to low voltage detected by power saver with FBH and auto defrost function on Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Caught this yesterday and glad I was towing not chasing the FFRR Whistle

Luckily I had a bit of a gap or the footage would have been clearer - spun 2 times across 3 lanes and hit nobody Shocked

It was actually closer than it looks - FFRR driver must of needed a change Laughing
