Its a belt on the 2.7 engine, Thumbs Up 7 years old or 105,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Two belts I believe. DIY guide in the definitive 'how to' thread in the Technical section if you're going to DIY it. Thumbs Up

It's my How-To Thumbs Up

Front belt is pretty straight forward, rear belt is a bit more awkward and fiddly. Phone around for the best quote, prices vary wildly from dealer to an indy Thumbs Up

As said, 105k/7 years, whichever comes first

I asked the dealer where I bought the car whether the cam belt had been changed on mine in its life. They told me this model does not have a cambelt, it has some sort of chain, and this does not need changing. IS this correct? (2007 TDV8)

Correct, TDV8's have a timing chain, as rrsboy would say, another reason to get a TDV8 Laughing
