Having read the FBH thread and learnt that certain things such as the timed climate can be activated by simply reprogramming, and that remote park heating is straight forward with a few plug ins, got me thinking - what else can be activated or plugged in simply?

For instance the heated steering wheel function? Is the element in there? Is it just a case of popping off the cover plate on the wheel and plugging in the switch and telling the car to activate it?

What else have they installed as a matter of course???

Bodsy, can you do the "timed climate" programming ? and if so how much ??

Something Wigg's enabled on my old D3 was the reversing lights coming on as well as the front when you used the "follow me home" function on the fob.
Very useful if you have a dark driveway and need to nip out to get something from the boot...

Awd,I can enable that on pre 2010 models and have updated it on almost all the rrs updates ive done

Steveo, I can only do pre 2010 models at the minute.

If there were 10 people wanting the timed climate enabled, then I can look to get the 2010 on licence

If the 2010 is the same system as the d4 (someone with a newer rrs and the remote park heater option should be able to confirm) then you can also add in a remote control for the FBH.

Do you mean the ones 'your' car has or all the options available

Owing to the fact that Bodsy has mentioned he can only do pre 2010 upgrades, I was slightly reluctant to ask my question, but I will anyway!

When reversing, my radio doesn't mute so i can hear my rear sensors. although I have the camera as well, I would like to know if this is a fault or can be 'changed/re-programmed to be muted, it is a minor irritation but a PAIN WHEN YOU GET IT WRONG AND 'KISS' THE CAR BEHIND because the radio is louder than the 'beep beep'! RRS 2010

Can't see how to justify getting a 2012 to cure my problem though however, the new mode, now thats a possibility! RRS 2010

Front and rear lights off the remote were from my10 or 11, one remote click and 2

You can have timed climate adding the remote option if you want.

Just a point that you aren't reprogramming its enabling options in the ccf...the 2010 and 2012 my are different, but if anyone needs something doing in the west midlands, I can pass on a contact. Mike
