Dan sells a revised winch but ray sells a cover that protects the wheel and winch

Cheers muddywheels .... so would it be wise to get both the revised winch and this cover? Hi, I am currently on 20's but with it being a spare I would imagine any size is ok... What have you got? Cheers |

Saty - I looked at revised winch but kept my original winch as it was still working and covered it with the protector

Thanks Muddy Wheels that sounds like a plan.. firstly need to look under the car itself and see if I need a winch and then get a spare wheel and Ray protector.. Now I have a dilemma.. do i get a new 20" wheel (£300 odd) to match or i have seen a basic 17" on ebay with a tyre for £60 odd... |

Check you can fit a 17" on yours before you buy it and be careful buying secondhand tyres - if it is over 5 years old it may be cracking even if it has good tread

Good point about the tyre MW.. What is the standard spare.. is it alloy or a space saver type? True say about I could end up with my own wheel from ebay I am speaking to Dan at the mo, so might end up with something better .. fingers crossed cheers |

Standard spare is a 19" but unless you match alloy exactly and the tyres you have it will still need to be treated in same way even if full size for safety - ie speed, etc Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
