I may be wrong, but from memory I think this is an option in 'Settings' controlled by the steering wheel, buttons. Have you tried looking in the manual ?? FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I can't link it, but try page 83 of your manual, or take a look on the Land Rover Topix site and pull up the manual for your car ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

thanks for the help that has fixed half of it the other bit i would like to change is the bit under the speedo that shows the vehicles overall mileage and trip computer
