Dilemma !!!

My mate has a 2010 TDV6 3.0 and he wants to swop for my '59 model TDV8 'cause he tows his boat and caravan.

I quite fancy the upgraded interior etc of the 2010MY buy then the V8 is great.

What would you do ?

I would not do it

Not because of the engine / interior but because if either car goes wrong after the swap then your friendship may get strained. The rule of never sell a car to a friend is a good one.

Besides, if he has been using his fir towing already and found it to be insufficient for his use then you will be swapping to an engine which has been strained already......

Just my 2p worth.

having had both I'd say
DONT

the 3v6 is fine but the v8 is hardly any older and if either has a fault then its going to be a messy situation

I tow a twin axle with a 3.0 and think it has plenty of power so not sure why he would want to swap for towing and the interior on the my10 is far more refined than the my09 Shocked

I can't see the point Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
