I looked for the knob & found it missing in my car Sad

However, I was looking through Settings (on the info button) whilst stuck in traffic this morning and found "Lazy Entry" as one of them. I have turned it on and will see what happens...

I have my knob set to auto/lazy entry but when it works the steering wheel & seat only move a tiny little bit Confused

Can anyone confirm whether the steering wheel & seat should go quite a way in/up/back.

I'm not really fussed tbh i'd just like to know whether it's another fault or not. Shocked Owner of MY13 RRS Red Edition, Santorini Black, Ebony with Lunar, Privacy Glass & Exterior Design Pack

Lazy entry and auto steering adjustment are apparently 2 seperate things

Lazy entry works off the fob,and is enabled/disabled via the stalk computer

Auto steering column adjustment is operated via the ignition on/off/key removal, and is enabled/disabled via the knob on the left hand side of the column.

On the new ones the steering wheel moves out of the way with the seat to allow easier entry.

The auto adjustment knob stops that on the steering wheel and the menu stops the seat and steering wheel Mike

I sort of thought after my post that they were two completely different things!!

However i still have the issue with the "Whatever it's called where the steering wheel & seat adjusts automatically to aid easier entry/exit to the vehicle"!!, in as much as the steering wheel & seat hardly move.

mse eluded to where it is 'set' to begin with, how is it 'set'?

Its not set as such - it moves rearwards and down for the seat and upwards on the wheel (from memory) to maximise the gap

For you its either on or off...if there isnt far for the seat to move, it wont Mike

My switch on the steering column is set to auto and i also have lazy entry enabled and most of the time when you unlock it and get in the seat and steering move when the hey is inserted into the ignition but on the odd occasion when it is unlocked the seat and steering move straight away before i get in! Also sometimes it doesnt move all the way to the memory position and you have to finish it off by pressing the mem button 1......It definitely seems as though it has a mind of its own! Confused

I think that it is dependent on which setting (Memory seat) is used. My lady is a lot shorter and it both seat and steering wheel moves a lot for her... I am taller (182cm) and only steering wheel moves for me.

I think the seat lowers and also goes backwards for the short lady! RRS 2010 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
