Not in my experience, I purchased a warranty from my local franchised dealer when I had a 57 TDV8 at a cost of £895, the front bushes started knocking, sent it in on warranty and low and behold suspension rubbers are not covered, what a big waste of money that warranty was. Now I've bought a TDV8 from a franchised dealer to get there approved used warranty which covers everything. 10 TDV8 Santorini |

Anti roll bar bushes and ball joints are a known problem so don't believe the wear and tear quote. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Muddywheels, Have you contacted LR Customer Service? Your dealer is talking cr p. Don't let him away with it! If needs be then take it to another dealer. All dealers need to get warranty work pre-approved by LR so, if it was a "characteristic" then how come many RRS owners, such as me, have had the work done under warranty, which LR must have authorised? Name and shame if your dealer refuses. It's worth fighting for it (I didn't have to as I am lucky to have a great dealer) it transformers the driving experience of the car. Once fixed you won't believe you had put up with the fault for so long! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

The Approved Warranty is run by an insurance company (Care Care Plan I think) and the dealer has to get everything approved by them first. They've approved front ARB bushes on mine (and others it seems) so there's no reason yours shouldn't be approved too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Think a lot depends on how the dealer approaches it. Mine had 27 ball joints and 5 sets of bushes in first year, got sold the characteristic bull by land rover, my answer was not acceptable on 60 grand car. Eventually after two years a modified roll bar mounting was fitted which has resolved the clonk but not eliminated the ball joint failures. Changing from Contis to Pirrelli also helped too.
