Its clogged up because you are pussy footing around too much, you need to give it a good thrashing for it to clear its throat, opps i mean its DPF |

I wouldn’t get to excited BC, I have had quite a few cars from LRA and Enterprise over the years and only once has it been a Land Rover product, last time it was a Mitsubishi Shogun but at least that made me appreciate just good my Discovery was 12MY RRS Orkney Grey HSE Lux

Apparantly LR have listened to customer feedback on this issue. My car broke down a couple of weeks ago and I was LR assisted back to the dealer. When I asked the guy what car I would get from Enterprise he said that he couldn't say but that it would be an LR product. He told me that except for exceptional circumstances they will provide an LR car as a loaner because there had been so many complaints. Right enough, I ended up with a very nice brand new RRS Autobiography Just as an aside, my breakdown was complete shutdown of the engine. It would restart but would turn off again after a minute of driving Tank was full of fuel! Turned out that it was a faulty sender unit for the fuel gauge, which had actually failed earlier but I hadn't had time to take it for repair. Turns out that if the car thinks it has no fuel it will turn off the engine to protect itself... Too clever by half So, if your fuel gauge goes faulty, don't hang about for repair, get it in to dealer asap. It's no fun when your bombing along and lose all power, including power steering! I was on a bend when it first failed and it took all my strength to turn the wheels and keep the car on the road 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black Last edited by Endjin on Tue Oct 23 2012 2:04pm. I've started telling everyone that the Sport is a unreliable heap of crud in the hope that the curse works both ways 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I knew it - nearly cost me for a FFRR when mine broke down but thankfully LRCS/Dealer experience made me see sense and I did not give in to temptation
