generally, these readers only read either the first 3 or 4 digits of the code or only the engine management ECU. Bodsys Brake Bible

I have one... and have purchased the torque obd software for my android phone and it works for only 80% of cars out there and only reads and resets OBD codes, not canbus devices ! seems to struggle with commercials

Just wanted to point out that generic OBD readers only read emissions related codes (when they work ). This means basically only power train. Nothing Land Rover specific such as EAS, HEVAC, ABS, etc.
