My recently acquired 2011 RRS has chrome wing mirror covers (the top part only), and I don't think they are really for me so want to get them changed for the body coloured type.

Can anyone recommend the best way to go about buying and fitting replacements?
Have it done by the local main dealer? Independent? Other?

Have you checked that they are not body coloured underneath and that they just have the chrome capping on them ? ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I don't think they are covers on top of body coloured covers, as they don't seem to sit proud of the non-chrome element. They look like the factory fitment to me. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Can't see any MY2011 wing mirror cover on there, other than chrome

I've had a chat with my preferred bodyshop, and I'm awaiting their proposal.

Had mine colour coded at a local bodyshop - £90 for the pair.

TBH i prefer the look of just painting the top and bottom caps rather than the whole mirror assembly. Bit late now  FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
