Colour coded wing mirrors

My recently acquired 2011 RRS has chrome wing mirror covers (the top part only), and I don't think they are really for me so want to get them changed for the body coloured type.

Can anyone recommend the best way to go about buying and fitting replacements?
Have it done by the local main dealer? Independent? Other?

Thanks. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Have you checked that they are not body coloured underneath and that they just have the chrome capping on them ? ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I don't think they are covers on top of body coloured covers, as they don't seem to sit proud of the non-chrome element. They look like the factory fitment to me. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Can't see any MY2011 wing mirror cover on there, other than chrome Question

I've had a chat with my preferred bodyshop, and I'm awaiting their proposal.
Might look into colour coding the door pulls as well whilst I'm at it Wink 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

I'm not 100% on this (so feel free to correct me) but, I don't think LR ever offered factory fit Chrome Tops on the wing mirrors. So, I suspect they are aftermarket. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

I'm afraid they did, they're listed in the accessories section in the back of the brochure, and cost a mere £62 or so.

They don't match anything else on the car, so they've got to go! 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Had mine colour coded at a local bodyshop - £90 for the pair.

TBH i prefer the look of just painting the top and bottom caps rather than the whole mirror assembly. Bit late now Big Cry FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
