MOT

Just passed MOT Very Happy

104k so I was a bit concerned as it is the first MOT on this car for me.

This is not a main dealer just a trusted small garage who happens to be next door to the main dealer!

One advisory - Front lower suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement [2.4.G.2]
Would appreciate advice from the forum on this. There is a slight knock when first moving off which I thought was a sticky brake piston.

Also verbal - brake pipes a slightly corroded - have greased them all to prevent further corrosion. Current: MY15 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Aruba Gold, HUD, Meridian 1700w
Gone: RRS TDV6 2007 Stornaway
Gone: P38 2.5 DHSE

I had the same advisory on mine for the front lower arm bush and another for a front wheel bearing at 128k miles.

The wheel bearing was an easy fix - I'm yet to do the lower arm bush, will probably change the whole wishbone.

Do you get a knocking sound/feeling when you brake at low speeds or when almost coming to a stop?

The knocking sound you hear when pulling off could also be the anti roll bar bushes...another easy fix if you can get to the Censored nuts.
