Hi everyone,

I have a 2006 RRS S/C and have on issue with the bulb warning light on the dash, it is flashing saying there is an issue with side directional lamps. I have my lights set to auto, and when I turn the corner slow they certainly seem to be coming on and working OK. I have replaced both bulbs and again it appears to be working but the dash light is still blinking at me. I have lived with it for a while now but it is beginning to annoy me !!!!

Have you replaced the bulb with a genuine/high quality one? I've heard about LR's being particularly fussy in that regard.
Failing that, could be a wiring issue  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Hi Beancounter,

The bulbs were from Halfords, should I get them from the Land Rover garage, do you think it could be as simple as that.
I will try this and if still the same then try an auto electrician, thanks.

Hi Craig,

Judging from what I've read on other posts, it could well be the halfords bulb that's causing it. This has definately been an issue with the brake light bulbs which have caused some big problems for some people so I'd imagine it could be the same for your direction light bulbs also.

Try getting the bulb from LR and if it doesn't fix the issue then we'll see if we can come up with more ideas

I'm running Bosch bulbs bought from halfords and not having any issues. On my P38 however, the halford's own bulbs kept blowing and causing warning messages, swapped for Bosch items, problem gone.
