u024 fault code

my rrs 2007 2.7 has an annoying and serious problem. under hard acceleration at town speeds and with the slightest accelerator movement at motorway speeds the car goes into limp mode. Driving around town this is not a very big problem but at motorway speeds it has proved to be rather dangerous. As soon as the f appears where the normal d (drive) would be the car loses all power, hdc appears on the display aswell as suspension lowered and an array of warning lights
i have been told that the fault code is; U024 any ideas?

U024 is a Lost Comms error.

You need to check the rest of the modules for codes, especially the engine module. The suspension lowers because the ECM has gone into limp mode itself.

From your description of the fault, it sounds like low fuel pressure. Probably something as simple as a blocked fuel filter. You will probably find the code stored will be P0191 Thumbs Up
