Hi again... I haven't got any 20" the car came with 22" all part if the khan body kit etc... and the only time it has had 20" on was when land rover popped them on to check the suspension knock I had ... I had to have my 22" reset after at the time as land rover said they hadn't the software to reset it for 22" ?!!! Any way one of the alloys has had a weld but I totally trust my tyre guy with him saying they are good to go .. Since the service the hand brake is also rubbing on a long drive causing a really loud squeal when driving I know I sound frustrated and it's really because I am ... On the day of the service they also said that they had to investigate the engine fault light ( it wasn't in when I dropped it in ) and it was going to cost £200 just to investigate .. I drove the car away from the dealer and got straight on this site someone suggested that after 6/7 starts it should clear and it did no problem since but the fact they were going to charge for investigative work in a fault that didn't exist just got my back up too :/ any way it doesn't look like there us a reason that anyone can think of do I guess trying to claim the wheel alignment back etc is out of the question |

Very occassionally it is possible for suspension bushes to become 'set' if the car's been jacked and no weight is on the wheels for a significant period of time. When lowered the wheels can them appear with abnormal camber usually positive - it may take a few miles/journies for the camber to normalise.

Hi .. I assumed ( I know. Shouldn't) that land rover would have checked all of that when the service was done said asked them to check all suspension etc dye to an occurring lean when cornering fault code ... The guy at the tyre place checked everything I think when I asked him to search I've source of the squeal ( he does service work as well it s just fir some reason I booked into land rover this time ) .... I guess I shouldn't let it worry me as its all fixed now it's just I begrudged having to pay to rectify a problem that want there before the service |

Hi, surely when the vehicle is jacked up and then put down again the wheels are not going to be in their original angle and will appear to lean in or out until its driven ???

Hi everyone ... Thanks for your replies ... The wheels didn't reset themselves after driving etc which is why I had to have them done at the tyre specialist and it definately was a problem that existed and not my imagination but it's done now so problem solved its just that I was curious as to why they did need resetting after land rover had rotated the wheels on service .. As I say thanks but it's all sorted now x |
