United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I was looking at a red edition in the showroom the other day, and to be honest, i really didn't see the attraction of the RED edition, there wasn't anything on it that i could say Wow that looks nice, as said, its an HSE with a few expensive dare i say it tacky red bits added, not what you'd expect from a luxury brand Whistle I hope not to offend anyone that has bought one Embarassed The sport on the seats.... well ok i suppose, again nothing special, wheels... errr different, not too bad, but again they didn't stand out, the one in the showroom had side steps fitted and a boot liner and was priced at £59500 Shocked So at that price its not really special, i didn't pay that for my motor with a lot more extras fitted.

I was at my dealers again yesterday and i'm sure their Red edition was £63k, quite a bit of a difference, I guess they can come with different spec then?

Can't be bothered looking at them any further than a quick look over, I asked the same dealer to spec me up a new FL2 HSE Lux on my last visit, and all i got was Umm and Arrgh as an answer and a vague ball park figure , he couldn't even be bothered to give me spec of pre-ordered ones either.

service side, is excellent, my guess is, the new FL2 isn't launched till October and he would have had to go through a proper sales quote and that would effect his figures for the month as a lost sale. until it becomes mainstream, then i can build it myself on the LR website and email James at LPR for a actual price,

I told him I would just contact James at LPR by email as it was easier Laughing it was just more a fact finding, so ain't too bothered

Each to their own i suppose but i do know that i paid £58344 for mine and had i have had a HSE & specced it up to what i wanted (Body Styling pack, ebony headlining, Privacy glass & mats) i would have definately ended up paying more Cool

As i have said on this thread before though i can understand the comments about the Red Edition as i too went into my local dealer after i ordered and thought 'Whoops'!! but now i've i've got it i really do think it's quite unique and a little different to many of the RRS on the road Very Happy Owner of MY13 RRS Red Edition, Santorini Black, Ebony with Lunar, Privacy Glass & Exterior Design Pack

The red edition is a run out model, where LR try to squeeze as much out of the current generation of car before moving onto the next. Coming from an AB owner id say thats view is to be expected Laughing U gotta remember mate this is an HSE so the bodykit makes a massive difference to the looks of the car.

Mate of mine got one a few months back with a whacking discount on list that he couldnt get on an HSE or an AB.

Personally I wouldnt touch a 58k sport in the next 12 months with a barge pole
