Is the sensor in the front bumper positioned correctly, ie forward and clear of obstructions.
Have seen cases on here, there the sensor has got knocked down, causing the ACC to fail.

ACC went AWOL on when I had a suspension problem. Quite how the two were related I do not know.

Apparently there was a relay on its way out somewhere.

I had the errors: "only normal height available" & "forward alert not available"

Whatever relay fixed the forward alert error on mine, is most probably worth checking on yours. Sadly, I have no idea what so ever what relay it was Embarassed

Maybe a friendly dealer could advise? RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

I have the same problem with the 06 RR Sport I've just bought. ACC unit is located in the bumper but the cruise control function does not work at all. Big Cry Big Cry

Can you let me know how/if you managed to get the fault fixed please.

Whilst we're on this subject can anyone tell me what the forward alert is officially for? The only use I can find for it is in slow moving traffic in town and I want to take a long appreciative look at the pavement fluff. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Interesting. I'll get mine booked in to find out what the fault is too. Hopefully it wont be expensive to get fixed.. 2006 Range Rover Sport HSE 4.4
