Cleaning My RRS......

Having had my new RRS for nearly a week it is now ready for its virgin clean!

Now unfortunately although i like my car nice & clean & presentable i am not the type nor have the time to lovingly wash, wax & prepare every minute of the day, in fact quite the opposite, i've got that little time on my hands that's its normally off for a quick hand job down the Polish car wash Shocked Laughing

BUT, it does make me wonder about the wisdom of this course of action with regard to the cleaning agents they use etc etc.....

It would be good to know peoples thoughts on this & whether my chosen path is a good one or not Question Owner of MY13 RRS Red Edition, Santorini Black, Ebony with Lunar, Privacy Glass & Exterior Design Pack

Find a good one, you'll be fine.

I get my hand jobs locally, what reassured me was seeing top end cars going through.............I also have it professionally detailed every 6 weeks and it looks as good as it did day 1. Thumbs Up

Cool, just what i wanted to hear Very Happy

And i've never really been into the detailing thing but i think with this one it's something i'm definatley going to get done.

Just for interest what's the sort of cost to get it detailed? Owner of MY13 RRS Red Edition, Santorini Black, Ebony with Lunar, Privacy Glass & Exterior Design Pack

Find a good friendly local detailer, they should offer service washes to compliment any restoration, enhancement or protection work they see fit!? Full whammy in the region of £450+!!!
Any local run of the mill drive by car wash will inflict damage and your car leaves there with the paint unprotected and in danger from tree sap, tar or bird bombs!!

Just before I bought my RRS I had Quentin Wilson ahead of me at the local hand wash place in a RR Vogue Autobiography, that's good enough for me Thumbs Up

It most likely wasn't his, and if it was I think I can safely assume he doesn't work as hard for his money than many of us do for ours!? Good luck to him!

Censored detailing

Censored wax

Censored DIY washing

get the local poles to do it once every 2 or 3 weeks

when you get bored of the swirl marks and micro scratches (after about 3 years) go to friendly car repair centre and get them polished out - all over, about £300-400

it's a car. A CAR. Not a piece of art.

2010 TDV8 HSE - ooo laa laaaaaaaaa
2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable

2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!
