The two unfortunate WPC's, our Armed Forces (after serving with them for 27years) and several others...... however, if the attitude of the PC in London is anything like the two members of my local constabulary that live next door ...then more power to the MP ......and I can give him a few extra words to use as well

Andrew Mitchell, as a high profile member of the Government should have known better than to have made any such remark at any time, he should be dismissed not for making the remark now, he should be dismissed for having made it at any time. Only 28% of RRS members think so

The problem is the police are becoming far to detached from the ordinary people and often act as if they are above the law, not there to uphold the law.

The next problem is we are too quick to set a law and ban things or see ourselves as "right" to say people shouldnt do something...the more we have tried to give rights to the individual - the more the individual has lost rights and the result the majority looses out.

Those two things together are negative to our society - more laws = more enforcement = less freedom = more criminalisation - less people able to survive without a rule = more laws etc...actually the net result is less everything

Finally if all the above were true - MP Politicians (of any party) are on their own power trip and become more detached from the people...just so happens conservatives are the worse party for not caring about the majority.

Still doesnt really make what happened a big deal - but its good to see the policeman having a paddy...surely they are trained to take more than that in London? Mike
