Hm. I can only comment in a slightly different context. I bought an 'Overfinch' kit from a poster on rangerovers.net, but it turned out to be fiberglass - and the fit was so poor I thought it was a replica kit (and still am not convinced it isn't). Allegedly, Overfinch's initial run at a kit was a fiberglass addition to the OEM bumpers & body - or so I've been told. I bought it for $2,600, if I remember correctly. All I know is it took a tremendous amount of massaging and alteration to make it work on my RRS, but I think it turned out well in the end.
I put up a thread on the whole saga over at rr.net: http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/9-range-r...n-diy.html Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

You've done a great job! I was under the impression overfinch kit is a straight swap, surely a lot of work ment it was duff? |

Well: if duff means what I think it means, it was 'duff' alright. My kit wasn't entirely new bumpers. It was just lower cladding that had to be grafted on..and the side skirts didn't come with any mechanism to attach them: I had to fabricate ALOT to get everything to work. It's all in the link. |
