Anything can change but Land Rover usually expect you to be put in an LR product, although not always possible straight away.

Approved warranty does not give you a replacement Landrover/range rover, you get a certain standard, I had an automatic insignia estate when my alternator went on my FFRR. They originally gave me a manual corsa, but swapped that the next day. |

Slightly off topic, but when I used to drop my TVR Chimaera 500 in for a service I used to be lent a "useless engine size" Nissan Micra, made getting back in the TVR a event to look forward to

Thanks all. Turbo has gone so am told my RRS will be off road until sometime next week which means I've got to get out of this chevy junk so will have another chat with enterprise and if no joy then LR customer service.

So Enterprise can't change the hire car in due to LR rules and LR customer service refer me to small print in the warranty document stating such matters are the responsibility of warranty administrator 'Car Care Plan Ltd' trading as LR Approved Warranty Administration.

The problem is usually availability of the right car... In Aberdeen in the winter getting any 4x4 is a nightmare let alone a Landrover . Enterprise normally don't have enough ... I've been lucky enough that the dealership stepped in and lent me a d4 when my d3 was off the road two winters ago... Nice one town and county ... Guess who get all our service work. 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

All of my warranty work has, so far, been such that I can book the vehicle in at the dealer and arrnage for one of their cars to be available. Getting quite used to the Freelander SD4 these days... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Well enterprise actually have plenty of suitable vehicles which are cheaper to rent than this chevy thing, the issue is around LR or should I say Car Care ltd, won't authorise me have one. |

the warranty is underwritten by someone else correct, that doesn't stop it being thoroughly excellent though. Your problem seems to be the hire car? Personally I don't think it would bother me too much.

Sounds like you dont have the genuine factory warranty - which is where you will get the right car. Im still surprised though...how hard have you tried. and as for BMW...er no Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |

He has the LR Approved Warranty. It's the warranty for cars out of the factory warranty. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Correct. You're not a customer of LR, you're a customer of the dealer. You have no contractual link with LR. None at all. Not one. Nope, sorry. The warranty isn't by LR, it's an insurance policy underwritten by a third party. Again, no link with LR other than branding - which is no link at all in any meaningful way. Having said all of that, it does seem daft on the part of LR to annoy potential future customers by not trying to keep them happy. After all, it's easier to keep a brand customer than it is to attract a new one. But then, if it were that easy they'd all be doing it... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
