Im just worried i will get bored quickly, but saying that i cannot use all the M3's performance on the road anyhow so have found myself sticking to speed limits a lot lately due to the amount of traffic on the roads Is the Range your daily drive or have you got another fast toy tucked away in the garage? |

Boredom is going to be a very personal thing I needed a nice safe transport after hanging upside down in the last vehicle...not to be recommended

How do you find the Range when your following traffic that is doing 50mph, has it got enough get up and go to over take or is it a bit of a suicide mission? |

Hi Lee. I currently run both. Wife has the TDV8 and I have the M3. Fuel consumption wise there's not a lot in it. Sport averages 3-4 mpg better than the M3 in normal driving. However to drive they are both very different beasts and I tend to drive them as so. Whilst the M3 is made to go licence losingly quick it's also docile and comfortable on the daily drive to work. I bought the sport predominantly to fit the family in and waft around and so first looked at the Tdv6 but after driving the TDV8 there was only one option. The rumble and torque in the mid range puts a smile on your face everytime you overtake something and with the dynamic suspension pack and big brembo brakes it's not bad in the twisties for such a big lump. It's no M3 and so if you're after a comparable drive forget the sport, but if you accept it will be fundamentally a different driving experience but a bit of fun in much smaller doses the TDV8 is hard to beat IMO.
