It's official - white is the colour (shade!)

How long have I been banging on about white being the best colour (shade) for a RRS?

Well here an article to back up my case.

1. It's the best colour, currently, for resale value. Not the best colour full stop.

2. That article is in the Daily Moan and so is probably rubbish just like so much of the tripe they print.

Why spec a car to appeal to a future buyer? Unless you also like the things that future buyers are reckoned to like, you end up with a car that you don't like. Which seems rather bizarre to me. Buy what you like and if you lose out on a few hundred quid in 2-3 years time then just class it the same as other depreciation.

The difference in sale price 2-3 years down the line will be less than the difference in money spent on fuel by two different people so it's all a bit moot anyway. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Solution - get someone else to clean it or better get mrsfixit to clean it as she makes it dirty. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Firstly it's not rubbish,it's what I have found from my expiriance with a white car.Secondly whilst I wouldn't profess to know everything about cleaning cars,I can tell you my cars and vans all get the same treatment. When we collected the BMW it was stripped of any product, clayed, polished using a rotary and da and various well respected products. Then when finally happy with the paint finish Hd wax applied.I will happily admit I am maybe a tad anal re.vehicle cleaning Embarassed But I enjoy it and it relaxes me after work, hence you would find me cleaning something 5 days out of 7 if not more.So yes I believe I can do it properly and still stand by my statement that white is a nightmare.

Steve

My FL2 is Alaska white Cream, so maybe it's easier Rolling with laughter

My wife's proper white car, is a bit of a mare to clean, it has black streak coming from te window rubber and greasy black marks tat appear below her door drain holes that need Tardis to remove

Been light, they both are ok for a few days, road grime tends not to show as much as it does on dark colours, Stonaway grey was a lot more forgiving as a colour
