hi,nothing like that happened to me. Big fun of RRS-my one WHITE-RED with wide body kit plus RS alloys all from KAHN

Ok, here's my update. I've now had all 4 wheel alignement done along with re-balencing of wheels, this went someway to helping the situation but not solving it. I'm now running my car on full load tyre pressures and it's made a hell of a difference!

For the record, 2.6 Bar on front and 2.9 Bar on rears, but I'll remind you all that the tyres are Goodyear Excellence, which I wont be fitting again  RRS 2010

What's a long period? Anyway, there's no chance of the ambient temperature being 'high' in the UK! Maybe, this is meant for the US market/or the Arab market whereby you have a chunk of vehicles to choose from , and the tarmac is like a billiard table!

Sheesh the Goodyear web site is absolutely rubbish! No information about the tyres and, when you search for a tyre for the RRS it just keeps saying "no tyres in that size" even though people sell them all over the place.

I was intrigued to see what the Excelence tyre is like: my RRS came to me wearing Wrangler F1 and they were pretty poor.

Odd really because our other car is wearing Goodyear Optigrip all round and that seems to be a very good tyre for a "normal" car. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

When speaking with Pro-Tyre at goodwood, they mentioned that the quality control at Goodyear had been poor for many years. A friend of mine that works for Bridgestone says the same thing

Following my purchase of a diamond Cut set of 20" rims from Jordan at Overfinch, i can report that the Goodyear Excellenc tyres I had were . the new wheels have Pirelli Scorpion ASIM fitted and are leaps and bounds above the Goodyears. Quieter smoother, no more wobble, it seems weird but it's like the tyres are half the weight of the goodyears! My car has been transformed, thank you Jordan

Btw guys, I now have a set of four HSE wheels clogging up the warehouse at Overfinch for sale with tyres, allbeit, not many miles left on them. Reasonable offers accepted. Can't post pics on here but they are in almost immac condition and I can send pics via e-mail. Feel free to PM me.

Howdy pardners.....I'm buying some overfinch 22" wheels, will these fit on my RRS brand new RED edition which arrives in next 2 weeks?? Cheers in advance for your help.

The Manual is correct.

As tyre makers seek to make quieter tyres and soften the sidewall then flat-spots are more likely. Given the weight of the RSS this can happen quite quickly and in the winter when the rubber can be siffer and the road surface cold it can take a food few miles before the tyre temperature rises and the operating pressure increases before the flat spots fully dissappear and the vibration stops.

Of course any slight play in any suspension bushes can accentuate the sensation

The flat spot can be more evident if the last time you used the car it was parked after a fairly fast run and the tyres were up to temperature.

If the last time it was used was on a 'local' run or low speed trip when the tyres were just warm the flat spots are less likely. The lower the profile of the tyre the more you'll feel a wobble for a few miles.
