Was offered 21 grand for mine with all the toys and less miles as trade in. 23 on we buy any car. Sold it tonight for 25 so fair guess above 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

car is only worth what someone will pay for it.. this obsession with book prices (esp CAP) must end!

that's not true. CAP was (and still is) primarily a car auction guide. So, if you like, provides a floor.

FAIL, read the opening page of the book. They take market data from across the industry, New cars sales volume , used car sales volume, prices achieved at retail and trade end. Granted any car is only worth what "someone" is willing to pay for it, but that willingness is generally governed by the prices achieved elsewhere. Best price guide on the planet is autotrader in my opinion anyway. |

the true fallacy of these 'price bibles' was exposed in the fun time of 2008/9 when the end of the world came.. the discrepancies between CAP/Glass/Parkers jumped to frankly absurd levels.

The thing to remember is the word 'guide' and the fact that it is rare for either of the main players to agree within a reasonable margin.
