BUYING A RRS

Hi to all

I am thinking of buying a 57 plate Range Rover sport. It Has 54,000 miles, 2 previous owners, a service history but not been serviced with Main Land rover Dealer.
Fully loaded with 22" Kahn wheels.

CAN SOMEONE KINDLY TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN BUYING A RANGE ROVER SPORT.
ANY COMMON PROBLEMS WITH THEM ?

NEVER BOUGHT ONE SO A BIT WEARY.

YOUR HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

On top of the list supplied above, I'd also recommend checking the service history to see if the air suspension pump has been changed. They seem to be a fairly common problem so if someone has changed it for you then they could save you a bit of bob. Also raise/lower the suspension and make sure the car sits level when you return to standard height.

When you have a reg number, call LR and get them to check if there are any outstanding recall items that need to be sorted. My car was serviced by a LR approved garage by the previous owner and the brake servo vacuum pipe was still outstanding. This doesn't mean that the car hasn't been well kept, but just make sure that you get the recall items sorted.

Hope this helps.

If there is any outstanding Recalls due on the car then is it still FREE to get the recalls done if you don't have RR warranty anymore ?????

Yes. My car is a 2006 with 130,000 miles...well past the warranty and they did it for free...changed the brake servo and the vacuum pipes.
