United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Update!

Called Pimp My Range at 11am this morning and spoke to Jason who informed me my goods had been shipped back in December and he would check and call me back - shock stun horror no return call from him!

Just called him again at 16.51 and now they are waiting for the parts to come in and it will be another week before they "may" get the stock and then another week before delivey! Jesus ive been waiting since November Big Cry

I have now demanded a full refund as ive had ENOUGH Banging Head lets see if i get a refund or if i have to wait 2 months for that aswell?

This was my first ever dealings with this company PLEASE PLEASE use caution before ordering from Pimp My Range or any other companies associated with them as you may well also end up funding their Xmas party like i did!

These guys are thieves! No one returns calls or responds to emails. They shipped me the wrong items and never exchanged the items after I returned it and never issued a refund. Jason is the worst offender and Dave was somewhat helpful at first then - Nothing! Here I sit with no merchandise and no money for the merchandise I returned to them.

Be warned - do NOT order from them they are crooks!

.

Surely the information in this thread alone is enough to get their local trading standards involved to pay them a visit?

HaHa you guys!!!!!!, obviously this is a bone of contention to you but i can assure you my name is not Jason. I am in no way associated with them, just a description of my experience with them. Take it or leave it, it makes no odds to me. I just got the impression that the service wasn't up to speed but they were trying.
I thought i was going to have a complete nightmare after reading this thread, and especially after my phone calls went unreturned when they said they would be. Then came the answer machine with the message that it was full and no message could be left. So naturally i thought the worst! But it's all ok now.
Anyway......... i had bought some of the Hawke oval exhaust tips for an 11MY RRS TDV6 which were listed as fitting my car, but they were huge and apparently only fit the supercharged.
Does anyone know of any which will fit???????

oh dear oh dear this is terrible and I really am convinced you're not Jason.... naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt!!!!!!

everyone else - if you paid by credit card then call your card company and place a claim for refund, it's very easy and will all get sorted - there's a specific protection under the consumer credit act for this sort of behaviour, I have used it many times. If you didn't pay by credit card then firstly, shame on you, and secondly, take a little trip down there and Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Whistle Whistle Whistle Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Whistle Whistle Whistle Censored Censored Censored Censored Whistle Whistle Censored Whistle Censored Censored Censored Censored Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Censored Thumbs Up ============

2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!

How to get your money back if paid by debit card

Really hacked off that this company is still trading , am £900 lighter in pocket but have found something on Martin Lewis money saving website that hopefully might be useful if you have also been robbed by Pimp My Raange in the last 120 days read below and then I have attached a link to ready written letter template, just need to pop your own details in there and send to your bank . Have also emailed Torbay trading standards office asking them to investigate , if everyone did the same maybe we could get them closed down Rolling with laughter

link for letter template to claim back debit card payments
The majority of us are now aware of the benefits of using our credit cards in terms of the protection it offers us in the event the supplier is unable to offer the goods and services we have paid for.

But did you know that you can also claim the money back if you have paid on your Visa Debit card? And unlike your credit card, which imposes a minimum spend of £100, you can claim back any amount of money.

The process is called Visa Debit Chargeback, and, as the name suggests, is a procedure in which the banks will ‘charge back’ the value of the original transaction directly from the supplier’s bank, and pass this amount on to you.

All banks who issue Visa cards have only recently agreed to process chargeback requests, and there is still widespread confusion over what it is and how it works. Therefore if you meet a dead end in your discussions with bank staff, persist. The facility is there for you to take advantage of.

Invoking the chargeback procedure

If you suspect your card has been used fraudulently, if the goods and services you bought with your card are faulty or if they do not materialise, then you should contact the bank who has provided you with your Visa debit card within 120 days, requesting they initiate the chargeback process. It does not mean you will automatically and immediately get your money back. It will initially become a ‘dispute’ in which the claim will be fully investigated by both banks before any money is returned.

Addendum: This Visa Chargeback Scheme also applies to Visa Credit Cards

Are trading standards still around? Or are they powerless on Internet businesses?

I see that www.pimpmyrangescam.co.uk is an available domain name...might be fun to set up a site about them 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Pimp my range and speed culture

I ordered chrome handle covers and side vents for my RR Vogue via pimp my range aka sped culture. After nearly 3 weeks of calling I eventually got side vents ( not great,) but no handle covers. Jason came up with a variety of reasons which I will list. 'problem with supplier' 'problem with courier' ' courier has tried twice to deliver' 'neighbour has signed for them' then when asked to reorder item and email me the order form, he said twice that he had but email never arrived. I then cancelled order and demanded a refund, no problem was the reply but it seems that this was also something that Jason is too simple to do. Or simply had no intention of doing. Twice promised refund to card and twice claimed it had been done, then said that someone in the office keyed in a wrong digit. Then said twice that he would post a cheque, surprise surprise the cheques got lost. Finally today he said that he would refund money direct to my bank account and even had the audacity to take my account details. Fortunately I have managed to claim money back from cc company but be warned this company and this sales person, Jason, are a waste of space. They will deny any wrong doing at all times and have the nerve to get quite angry when accused of such, SO JASON IF YOU READ THIS YOU ARE QUITE OBVIOUSLY JUST TOO THICK TO GET A SALES JOB IN A REAL COMPANY AND ONLY USEFUL TO PETTY CROOKS. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS LOT AND TELL EVERYONE ELSE THE SAME. Its a shame that LANDROVER can't do anything to warn their drivers, anybody know if they can

Pimp my customers.

This guy who runs Pimp my Range (also known as Speedculture) is just a joke. He goes by the name of Jason Thorne. I am 53 now and I don't think I have ever met a more incompetent liar in all my life. It took me six weeks and around 40 phone calls to get my money back. In all that time he never once told me the truth. He sounds like a nice enough guy over the phone, but don't believe a word he says. You will get, "I will call you back in 10 min. The computers crashed so I can't bring up your order. You will have it by Monday. I will do you a refund personally today."

Every single one of them is always a lie. the only way I got my refund after six weeks of pure unadulterated hassle was to tell him I was coming down to visit him the following week. Even then I had to explain to him I'm not the sort that gives my money away, I am not just going to go away. If you want your money back, because invariably your goods won't turn up, you have to badger this man to death.

I could never quite figure out what his problem was. I asked him straight up, are you going bankrupt "No of course not!" Do you have the goods? "Of course I do I sent them out last week!" Why aren't they here then? "I'll look into it and call you back in 10 min." This can go on for weeks and weeks and weeks.

DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLONKER. It'll send you to an early grave.
