Vision assist package

In the process of ordering a new rrs hse. Considering adding the vision assist package. There seems to be mixed views about this. Is it worth it? Grateful for any views.

I've wanted it both times and not got it both times.

Ignoring the main beam thing as I hated that. The cameras are cool..question is how much will you use it do you need it?

Timed climate and other things are more valuable in my opinion Mike

I think unless you are doing serious off road, or constantly towing, the cameras are hard to justify, albeit very cool.
Headlight thing would get on my tits.

For me it was the same as dual view, oh so cool, but how many times are you going to use them Confused ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Very useful when squeezing into or out of a very tight space, being able to see those blind areas before hearing the scraping of paintwork.

Surely that's what mirrors are for Whistle , the only real camera I see a need for (in addition to the rear) is the ones that look at the front wings. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I've included Vision Assist on the order for my SE where it gives powerfold mirrors, rear camera and the headlight thingy (which I've got on the Merc but never use).

Cost of the pack was less than the cost of the rear camera and folding mirrors if bought separately so the headlight assist is, in effect, free.

Adaptive headlights and something else i cant recall (Xenon headlights unless they are standard HSE and above)

The only thing with the cameras are the front wheel monitoring on tight car parks...but i adopt the be overly cautious approach Mike

is adaptive headlights the thing that moves them left to right? that's excellent.

the corner bulb which comes on when you indicate is also excellent

not got vision assist but i have High Beam assist and the rear camera option, HBA is so annoying (even on the great ozzie open roads) i have disabled it, I would suggest a rear camera option should suffice if it is a reasonable price, as it covers 99% of my parking requirements, if you need the other camera's then learn to reverse Whistle as mentioned on here, spend the money on something more useful gadget wise Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Adaptive, yes, think thats the left to right, seeing round corners thing. Not had a car with it on, so don't miss it, but I guess once you have one with it on, you realise how good it is, like the first time I got a car with xenons, I was Shocked at the difference Thumbs Up
Corner light is standard, agree, thats a brilliant invention. Bow down ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I've got adaptive lights on my TDV8 and to be honest it's not that noticeable. Cornering lights are much more effective. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
