does anyone know if the service indicator can be reset even with a fault being registered

car has an intermittent suspension fault, clear most of the time but fault must be logged somewhere, so with this fault logged but not actively displaying a failure light can the service indicator be reset.

local garage that did recent service say they can't reset the indicator

Yes, service indicator can be reset regardless of the general errors in modules. Unless the error is due to a faulty can bus. He may not be able to reset it if he hasn't bought the update that allows him to. Bodsys Brake Bible

got a service indicator up today at 133.000 km. what's being done at the service?? I change the gear and engine oil in january 2012 so why do I get the oil service 500 indicator? you think the dealer forgot to reset?

Im changing brakepads and discs next week so do I still need to take the car into service? RRS 2006 2.7 HSE
